Unlike most other film meetup groups, the focus of this one is less on Hollywood / major film studio blockbusters and more on intelligent, thought-provoking, alternative cinema - i.e. contemporary and classic world cinema, arthouse, documentaries, independent ('low budget') and short films. This is a group for all lovers of film who are into old and classic films in particular. Be it the silent greats, the westerns of the 40s, the comedy films of the 50s, the heist films of the 70s, there is room for everyone as long as its old, vintage, classic, cult, retro or just too cool for school.
