ok, if you dont have time to read this entire deal-go rent or buy The Orphange right now!

I just watched it last night and its seriously the best modern horror movie ive ever seen. Really unbelieveable. Guillermo Del Toro produced it, so i knew it was going to be good. but wow, it surpasses all my expectations. There are a few moments that were genuionely scary-not loud noises scary like most modern american horror movies. but like get goosebumps scary.

but it also has a great story and an amazing mix of feel-good and sad moments as well. and the ending is completely satisfying-another rarity in the horror genre. i wont go into any details of the plot as to not ruin anything.

but i cant believe this wasnt a giant blockbuster (well, i guess it is in spanish).

i would nominate this to be a movie our group should view as well.

I rented The Orphange last weekend. While I agree the ending was awesome; I thought the pace was a bit off. It seemed kind of slow in the middle. :P I did enjoy the part with the psychic - very atmospheric!

I didn't think of it as a horror movie either, to me it was much more of a drama.

But I still enjoyed it!
